Educational Background
I graduated from Purdue University in 2007 with degrees in Creative Writing, English and History.  I plan to continue on to grad school within two years, hopefully to achieve a Masters degree in English.  As for my career, I plan on looking at continuing to self publish while looking at working within public relations for companies.

Work Experience

  • Inter Library Loan (ILL) at Purdue University: Over the summer, I was employed as a courier for ILL.  My job involved light computer work and mainly office skills such as photocopying manuscripts and shipping packages.
  • Von’s Comics and Used Books:  I am a cashier at Von’s in West Lafayette, where I sell comic books and graphic novels.  I am in charge of cleaning old books, pricing them, and basic maintenance while there.
  • Purdue Exponent:  I am a staff writer for the Exponent, which is the newspaper for Purdue University, and I have a couple of articles published for them.
  • United Christmas Service: I was the Project Coordinator’s Assistant, and my job varied from handling phone calls to providing customer service and evaluating potential applicant’s for our program.

Freelancer

I also currently work on several projects for many RPG publishers.  Here is a list of companies I have worked for in the past three years:

  • White Wolf Publishing
  • Apophis Consortium
  • Peryton Publishing
  • Crystal Fractals Publishing
  • Third Eye Games

Published Works

Maschine Zeit - I worked on Maschine Zeit from Machine Age Productions with David and Filamena Hill. A scifi/horror game where players explore derelict space stations and abandoned space ships I worked on the section dealing with creating characters that are not aligned with the major factions and giving them a reason to go into space.

Zombie Zig Zag- My short story, “The Moss Men of Tippecanoe County”, was published in the zombie RPG released by Peryton Press. It focuses on three people as they continue to sale down the Wabash avoiding genetically enhanced zombies.

API: Lochs - A supplement for Apocalypse Prevention, Inc. I wrote the opening story as well as some of the setting section for the Lochs, who are a race of fish demons that are trying to make a living on Earth and assist government agencies with taking down threats to mankind.

Shadow Nations -  Published by Apophis Consortium, this is a sourcebook for their Obsidian game setting.  I wrote the portion on Spain, which details a frontier land in the middle of a war torn country beset by demons.  I also worked on the Papal States section, and worked on designing new rules for diseases and some spells for their setting.

Real Plays - This adventure book for Gamblers and Gunslingers by FJGaming has an adventure I wrote called the Coffin Box Murders, which shows a dark side of the Wild West as a corrupt official preys upon people’s fear of Native Americans to try to seize more land for himself.

Halloween Horrors 2 - One of my earliest published works, I wrote an adventure for Chaosium’s Halloween contest early on in my writing career.  I am proud of it although it shows how my writing was at the start of my career.

Bride of Halloween Horror - I had another adventure was published in Chaosium’s latest Halloween monograph.  Earth: Rest Stop, Body Shop is a much better representation of my work, and shows how I have improved over three years.

Collection of Horrors: Caveat Emptor - I worked on Collection of Horrors, an online release for White Wolf that is to supplement their Horror Recognition Guide.  Caveat Emptor is an expansion on the Market, a mysterious marketplace that appears in the World of Darkness where the supernatural can trade items and mysterious events and artifacts can be found.

Hobbies
My hobbies include writing, video games, RPGs, and history.  A huge fan of science fiction and fantasy, I grew up watching shows like Kolchak the Night Stalker, Babylon 5, Invisible Man, Farscape, and Alien Nation. My mother and grandmother instilled a sense of creativity in me and introduced me to old westerns and mysteries while growing up.  I also enjoy hiking, bird watching, and swimming.  My favorite past times include wargames, scriptwriting, and comedy.

Goals
I enjoy working upon all sorts of projects, but I find that I work best when working on creative projects.  I hope to self publish at some point in the future while working as a freelancer for different companies, ranging from RPG publishers, comic book companies, and others.  I hope to gain experience working for other companies and I am always willing to learn.  I realize I may have a lot to learn with my writing, but I am constantly working to improve my skills.

Technical Skills
I am capable of typing at an average of 90 WPM in Microsoft Word. As a writer I am used to editing my work and I am skilled at game system creation, writing creative fiction, and working with clients to determine their needs.
